Sunday Salutations and Topic, Topic, I have a Topic
Happy Memorial Day! Please take a moment to reflect on those who gave their lives for the freedoms we exercise today.
As you might have noticed, we have been revamping items a little bit here and of course trying out the new features of SubStack. As we are updating, I want to get a feel for topics in which readers are interested.
So, to have little fun and to use some of the neat SubStack features, we bring you our first poll. What are our reader’s favorite topics?

Writing Progress
I have been a little slow on the writing front as work has been eating up my brain. I swear sometime there are only so many words in one’s head. However, Tod has been cranking out the words left, right, and center. I am hoping his good behavior will rub off on me… but he is usually the order, while I am the chaos.
In other writing news:
Novel 1 - This is a coming of age story in a fantasy world with lots of magic - with a dog. Tod is currently doing a listen through and edit based on critiques. We’re hoping for more critiques this weekend. Fingers Crossed. But he is through 100 of 500 pages.
Novel 2 - This is an adventure story in a historically inspired fantasy world - with a dog. I am going over the outline. Hopefully, I find a nice balance that provides what I need in a book outline. See the novella for more details on that.
Novella 1 - This is a science-fiction novella - with a dog. Tod has drafted a few chapters and an outline. I am reading this through with an eye to changing our novel writing methodology. We worked out a short story protocol last year. This year is evidently the long format protocol design year.
We promise to have more any long format stories with cats “real soon now”.
Plus, we have a few stories we need to resubmit, and we’re getting rights back on stories which came out last year.
