It is time to teach tunnel or through, or just escape from your owner by crawling into a cave. Join us in a fun leash lesson as our chaos critters explore the world of tunnels.
Are you dyslexic? If not, then hold your hands up in front of you, palms out. Fold down the last three fingers, and stick your thumbs out at right angles, like a director looking at a frame. You will have 2 right angles. One will form a capital L, one will not. The one with the L is the left hand. If you are dyslexic, this may not work! It's slow at first, but gets faster over time and practice.
As for working on the right, I train my dogs to heel on both sides, using "Right Heel" and "Left Heel", and it has worked well. I love to watch agility - it is so beautiful to see the excitement and hard work coming to fruition.
Oh. I am dyslexic…. It has been an issue, but I found lots of work arounds that help and assist. Oddly, one that works the best for me is that I can touch type and if I don’t look at the screen it usually turns out better so I don’t second guess myself. However, left and right has been hard. It didn’t help that my mother, grandmother and I am not sure how many maternal generations apparently all had terrible senses of direction. Including my grandmother driving to the incorrect state (they were an military family, and stationed on east coast at the time), to pick up the kids from school… So, I will continue to work on it. But I am considering getting a tattoo to help me remember, just not sure of what…
Do you have a piece of jewelry that you only wear on one hand? (Like a wedding ring? I don't know with your scientific work if you have to remove them) Then you look at the hands - the one with the ring is the left. (Since you are Mrs Right - then the ring is on the left!) (I have 4 out of 5 kids that are dyslexic - Hubby is too.)
We all have our issues and have to learn to work around them!
Oh. That is brilliant. I will have to try that as a reminder. I do wear my wedding ring almost all the time unless my hands are swelling (since I stopped gluten that happens at lot less). Thanks!
