Sunday Salutations for Mother’s Day
First, Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, substitute-moms, and pseudo-moms out there. (Hi Christine and Paula!)
This week, we get to be grateful to the Three Moms of the Apocalypse as our second super-short story is in Fanta-Fly Postcards at https://www.amazon.com/Fanta-Fly-Postcards-Postcard-Stories-Book-ebook/dp/B0C4M6K3FJ.
The story is 50 words and written to a random picture prompt. There are 20 authors in each Postcard book. We are also extra happy to be in one where Sam Robb (https://samrobb4liberty.substack.com/), who set up the Team and More site graduated to emeritus by appearing on the cover. Good job, Sam! We especially love how his story is obviously inspired by the picture prompt, but the story isn’t obvious from the prompt.
This weekend was nice, relaxing (except for blog stuff), and productive. We had a nice little storm blow through Houston. It is always fun to listen to the thunderous downpour when you have just been outside in the sunshine. Houston weather is just that temperamental and ever changing.
We were busy bees this weekend. I called and chatted a friend much like a mother to me. I need to remember to send her a card and cookies next Mother’s Day. Tod is voting for sending her homemade cookies, possibly so he can steal any extras. We also picked up another rose and rearranged a bit of the garden. I wrote a few thousand words yesterday and the current novel is chugging along.
Also, if you are reading this on the blog, you will notice that we did a major update. We moved from Drupal to WordPress. We will be doing a few little changes here and there, but overall I think it looks marvelous. Thanks a bunch to Tod who spent much time getting everything set up. Thanks to Robert at KnownHost (https://knownhost.com) for helping Tod with the issues we ran into.
Tod has been the master of finishing projects this week, because beside the blog, he also finished beta reading for a friend and sent out his comments, which we have already heard were very helpful. Yay, Tod.
Looking forward to the next week.
Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
