Sunday Salutations and a Sneaky Spouse!
Squee! Tod surprised me yesterday and scored us both Liberty Con tickets, after telling me that he didn’t think we could go next year. He pulled a fast one on me and surprised me a lot! The sneak! I had figured we wouldn’t be able to make the Con because the sign up started during my dog training class and they have a limited, very limited number of tickets.
But Tod got Liberty Con Tickets for next year! I am super excited, worried, and very, very surprised. This will be the first time Tod, or I have attended Liberty Con, and because it is set for June 2024, it is ways off. I am glad it will be after I have been to other Cons, so I have at least some ideas of what to expect. Plus, I will have a lot of people to look up. There are several people I know online that I look forward to running into in real life. I am also hoping that by that time we will have two or so novels completed and ready to pitch.
Also, there was another Postcard Challenge from the Three Moms of the Apocalypse that was a lot of fun to write. A bit dark this time, but fun. However, Tod is much, much better at these 50-word challenges than I am. I get a picture, become inspired, start writing, and it becomes the start of a novel or at least a few thousand-word short story. I have been getting better each time, this one I managed to keep it to 90-100 words. Although, it did take three tries. Then Tod came in with his delete key ready and waiting, and shortened it.
