Howdy all. It is midweek and I almost never post midweek. So, what is so special that I had to break my once a week posting standard? We have a new release. It is science-fantasy romance short story, which is new genre for us. Our same standards apply of course: delightfully weird, occasionally dark, family-friendly fun.
We are excited to announce that our first publication with Alpha Mercs Press went live yesterday. It is now available via Amazon in both ebook and treeware (paper) formats. The anthology is called Minstrels in the Galaxy. All stories in this anthology were inspired by the music or lyrics of Jethro Tull, which is a very different type of music group. I would be hard put to define them - which seems to fit us well. After all who expects hard rock with a flute solo, but such is the nature of Jethro Tull.
Our story “Tablet in the Air” was inspired the lyrics of one of the songs. Specifically the line “For sixty days and eighty nights,” but I am want you check it out for yourself. Did our delightfully weird style live up to the inspiration? Each of the authors in the anthology have a paragraph about which song or lyric inspired the story.
And of course, we cannot forget to thank the editors and publishers for this anthology, Sam and Shari Robb. They put in a ton of work, shifting through submission, sending structural and copy edits to all the authors. We are very grateful to be included in their first publication from the new Alpha Mercs Press.
I look forward to meeting several of the authors and both of the editors at Liberty Con.
If you aren’t going to Liberty Con, think about giving our new story a read and tell us how you like it, either here in the comments or even better as a review on Amazon.
See you on the other side,
Anna and Tod
Yay! Congratulations!
